The Give Back Winners

(0:00) Every December, Levo Credit Union holds the Give Back, where we give $200 to a non-profit (0:07) that's nominated by one of our social media followers, who also receives $200. (0:11) This year, we are happy to award Karen Johnson with the $200. She's a social media follower of (0:18) Levo Credit Union, and she has nominated Dress for Success to receive $200 as well.

And Karen (0:24) is going to tell us why she nominated Dress for Success and what she's doing with her $200. (0:30) So, back in 2019, I needed to return to the workforce. It had been six years as a stay-at-home (0:38) mom, which I absolutely loved, but it was time to return to work due to life circumstances.

(0:44) And so, my friend got me in touch with Dress for Success, and I was able to join the Women (0:50) to the Workforce program. It was wonderful. I brushed up on my resume skills, got practice (0:57) with my interview skills, got professional clothing.

They provide even jewelry and accessories. (1:03) It was a wonderful experience. It was great to network.

I even met my future employer. So, (1:09) I really enjoyed my time, and I was so grateful at that time that all these services were free, (1:13) because that is exactly why I needed to return to work, because we needed those funds. So, (1:18) I was very happy to nominate Dress for Success.

And tell us what you're going to do with your $200 (1:23) that you received. So, it's going right back to Dress for Success, of course. (1:27) I love that.

(1:31) And here to receive the $400 now for Dress for Success are McKenna and Kara. And McKenna, (1:37) tell us what the money will be used for. Yeah.

So, today on Giving Tuesday, we actually have (1:42) an amplified donation from another partner, and this will all go back to helping keeping our (1:50) women's programs free and accessible for women like Karen. Whether they're returning to the (1:54) workforce, or they just want some help and extra support from our team, we're here. 100% of any (2:03) women's programs are free and accessible for women in our community.

And this just goes right back to (2:09) helping keep all of our services accessible. That is fantastic. And one more surprise, (2:14) we do have a gift for Karen because we were so impressed by her generosity.

So, Karen, (2:20) I'm going to hand you this gift under the truck. And congratulations to you and you for winning our (2:26) give back. And thank you so much, both of you, for having such generous hearts this holiday season.
