C: We're blending families, so we really kind of wanted some space that everyone could call their own.

R: So, after we checked out the market for a while, we determined that there wasn’t an existing house that would match our needs and so that’s when we made the decision to start designing one and building on our own.

C: I’m super excited that it’s our plan, so it’s not a cookie cutter; it's not been built before.

R: When we were going through the process, I created a spreadsheet and I was just plotting down, you know, all of the different fees that the different banks charge.

C: Sometimes, there's a whole bunch of additional fees and processing that you need to go through.

R: There are construction loan interest rates, and there are closing costs on the construction loan. There is a secondary closing cost when you flip it to a conventional mortgage. And so there are a lot of different things in play and a lot of hidden percentages that you have to be aware of.

C: So really, looking at every step of the way, not just one small piece of it.

R: I’ve done all my refinancing with Levo in the past, so we spent some time looking at other rates from other banks, and once we contacted the folks at Levo and found out what their rates were the decision was easy. 

C: The experience has been probably the easiest I've ever had. Usually, you have to give up your firstborn child when you need a loan or a mortgage.

R: It's been super easy. We met with Ty once or twice. I think during the initial phases of the project. We didn't have any hiccups, you know, running credit scores and getting the approvals that we needed. Closing was a breeze. We haven't had any issues so far with the process.

C: Ty has made it really easy and smooth.

R: Yeah, we're super excited. You know, we're going to be living together, blending our families. It's going to be a beautiful house that meets all the needs that Christina and I had together.

C: And being a little more outside of the city. We get quiet and with the big windows and in the back of the house facing the west, we're going to have beautiful sunsets. We're excited about that.

R: It's a 1.1-acre lot, so we're gonna have plenty of space to have firepits and friends over and things like that.

C: All friends and family are welcome, and the kids have a space that they all feel like, okay, even though it's new, it's home again.
